The UD05104 is a 1A high frequency synchronous step down DC/DC converter using constant frequency, current mode architecture. It's designed for use with small inductor and capacitor and uses very little pcb area. It includes on chip power switch and synchronous rectifier for high efficiency without an external schottky diode.

To maximize light load efficiency the UD05104 draws only 30μA quiescent current, and in shutdown it draws less than 1μA. The output voltage can be regulated as low as 0.6V and the device if protected from shorts and over temperature.
