The new PUMA42
In cooperation with Swiss excavator manufacturer Menzi Muck, Hoturm has successfully developed a new class of aerial equipment: The PUMA Series. With the world premiere of the PUMA42GT at bauma 2018 in Munich we present a unique combination of high-tech walking excavator chassis with an aerial lift.
The new PUMA42 is a class of its own in many ways: It offers extreme gradeability on the way to jobsites in every kind of terrain. Even in slope angles of up to 17° the new lift finds a safe working position to reach working heights of 42,80 metres with a maximum basket capacity of up to 400 kg. In rough terrain the PUMA42 can reach driving speeds up to 10 kph using its powerful 157 hp Deutz Diesel engine.
With its 430 litre fuel tank capacity even lengthy jobs far from resupply are possible. Due to its compact measurements, a low total weight of 17,6 t and an ideal outreach performance (max. horizontal outreach of 16.8 m at 300 kg basket load), the PUMA42 presents itself as a new benchmark in the height access industry.
